FEATURING DIAMOND DUST

Diamond dust is new to my 2020! Ever since I was a little girl I have wanted everything to be “sparkly” and have strived to keep that element of sparkle in my world. When I came across some of Andy Warhol’s work where he used diamond dust I was completely mesmerized and had to find a way to incorporate it in to my art. I thought 24K gold leaf was my artistic medium soul mate but it now has some close competition! You MUST see this phenomenon in person to experience the full effects. The art twinkles as the viewer moves around the painting. Diamond dust is a very sophisticated way to bring even more glamour to your space. FEATURING RESIN

My resin work has been completely refined in my five years of working with the medium. It all started in Cinque Terre, Italy when I collected some gorgeous rocks along the shore. When I got back home to Florence however the rocks were very muted and the only reason I had picked them up was because of how vibrantly colorful they were. I began experimenting with sealants, varnishes and resin on the rocks and found that the resin brought them back to life. And so began the wonderful transformation of my paintings. Adding a high gloss finish to a piece truly brings a whole new life to the work of art. The mirror like reflectiveness of the resin connects the painting with the space in which it resides and becomes alive as it changes in different lighting. The viewer can see themselves in the artwork which brings a whole new state of mind when experiencing my work. See below for some hand selected paintings blessed with this museum quality resin.

FEATURING WATERCOLORS

Abstract watercolors were not my idea. That’s right, I cannot claim credit for the creative brainwave that birthed these beauties. I have a background in children’s watercolor illustrations and have worked closely with paper in my many years of figurative drawing. But I had not thought of using my skill with watercolor abstractly. It all started with a collector that wanted to commission a seven foot watercolor on paper. At the time he and his wife had four of my paintings and wanted something a little different to add to their collection. I accepted the challenge and instantly fell in love with energy the medium allowed me to create. The waves and ripples watercolors create in paper give the art piece an organic element. Something magical happens when you pair the natural edge paper with a clear acrylic frame. I also love pairing watercolors on canvas with acrylic shadowbox frames. The balance between the vibrant brushstrokes and crisp white background give off an energy that is sure to make a statement in any space. I truly enjoy collaborating with collectors and designers to create stunning custom works of art that are both unique and perfect for homes, offices or commercial spaces.
